We offer online modules to provide the science behind the care and give students more insight into why they are taking the actions they are when evaluation and treating casualties of trauma and emergent illnesses. By providing this information in a separate online setting, we can maximize hands-on skills practice during the in person class and not overwhelm you with information in a short period of time. Online courses enable students to go at their own pace and return to lessons to review. While it is not a requirement, we encourage you to complete the online portion prior to the skills session to ensure maximum understanding of the material.
If your group is ready to test their skills, CCFA will design, plan, and conduct emergency response drills for your team. Drills can be an addition to a skills session, testing basic first aid, or can be elaborate staged events to put responders into simulated yet realistic scenarios to gain experience and test their skills under stress. Urban, suburban or remote settings with single or multiple victims with a variety of injuries and illness ranging from minor to severe. These drills can be designed to meet the needs of your group. Previous drills have included staged motor vehicle accidents, ATV accidents, weather disasters, and active threat scenarios with both full professional EMS response and civilian/volunteer responders. Search and rescue, triage and evacuation can be incorporated into these drills.
